About
Historical red-brick tower from Labuan's coal mining era (circa 1890s), 32.5 m tall. Actual purpose remains a mystery - hypotheses include ventilation shaft, lighthouse, bell tower, or landmark. Now a landmark with panoramic views of the northern coastline. Conservation completed 1999. Won International Green Apple Awards bronze in 2013.
